Job description
The Retail Customer Service Associate provides flawless customer service to our guests. Adheres to the company service basics while promoting the retail products within the Opry Gift Shop location. If FT this position would serve as a lead under the leadership of the Supervisor on Duty.
- Provides polite and courteous service to all guests.
- Provides information about current and upcoming events, while actively greeting and welcoming all guests into the store.
- Actively engages all guests on the sales floor.
- Provides excellent customer service by adhering to all customer service initiatives as laid out by the Store Manager.
- Actively sells and upsell products based on customer likes and needs.
- Learns and know the product collections that are carried in each location. Become proficient in the stock we carry to better assist all guests.
- Creates and maintains merchandising presentation throughout the store including visual presentations.
- Keeps merchandise stocked and the store properly filled and organized throughout the shift.
- Maintains general order and cleanliness of merchandise location and stockrooms.
- Includes cleaning windows, spot sweeping of floors, dusting of merchandise displays and emptying trashcans as needed.
- Accountable for daily cash register sales and proper check in/check out procedures, adhering to Ryman Hospitality cash-handling policies. Ensures adding on to sales is done with consistency.
- Responsible for work of others as requested.
- Provides the management team with customer comments and feedback about the merchandise, offerings and experiences at our facilities.
- Reports any concerns, maintenance problems, etc. to management.
- Responsible for being familiar with emergency procedures and responding accordingly in emergency situations, including properly evacuating the retail location, moving all employees and guests at least 300 feet from the building, should an evacuation become necessary.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education
- HS diploma or equivalent preferred
Experience
- At least one year of experience in customer service, sales, and/or cash handling preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Possess an outgoing personality and an aptitude for sales.
