Position: Pharmacy Technician - Part-Time (CPhT preferred)
Work Schedule:
- Monday through Friday 8am to 1pm (25 hours total) OR
- Monday through Friday 9am to 2pm (25 hours total)

Competitive Compensation: The starting hourly rate is $21 for a Non-Certified Pharmacy Technician and $22 for CPhT.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- Licensed Pharmacy Technician in Tennessee is required.
- One (1) year Pharmacy Technician experience is required.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- CPhT is highly preferred.
- Basic pharmacy math skills.
- Dependable in attendance and job performance.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to organize, and prioritize to maintain productivity.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and be flexible.
- Ability to perform tasks accurately and efficiently when inputting information.
- Possess the ability and initiative to plan and complete daily activities with minimal direction.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment criminal background check and drug screen.
Duties:
- Enter new and refill medication orders in a timely and accurate manner.
- Calculate correct day supply on orders based off directions.
- Process orders based on the priority assigned.
- Courteously assist all clients.
- Consult with dispensing pharmacist regarding medication order clarifications or concerns.
- Complete special projects and other duties as assigned by Pharmacy Manager.
Language Skills:
Must be able to express oneself adequately in written and oral English communication and to communicate effectively with clients, employees, and vendors.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here represent those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job:
- May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and walk intermittently during the day.
- May sit or stand seven (7) to ten (10) hours per day.
- May be necessary to work extended hours as needed.
- Finger dexterity to operate office equipment is required.
- May need to lift up to twenty-five (25) pounds on occasion.
- Visual acuity to see and read fine prints. Specific vision abilities required by this role include close vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
- Must be able to hear normal voice sounds.
