Becker’s School Supplies is seeking an energetic, positive person who enjoys office work and helping people but doesn’t want/need to work full-time. This position is in our busy Customer Service Department. Maybe you’ve retired but now realize you miss the office. Maybe you’re a college student who takes classes only in the afternoons and evenings and would like to work each morning. Who we are:

In business for 96 years, Becker’s School Supplies has been distributing early childhood educational products and services to teachers, schools, and other organizations. We pride ourselves on supplying educators with the tools they need to create enriching learning environments for their young scholars.

Our distribution center and our corporate offices, including our Customer Service Department, are in Pennsauken, NJ. We have a 6,500-item product catalog and an expanding e‑commerce business, all supported by the Becker family members who lead the business and the other 75 employees whom we think of as family.

What you will do at Becker’s:

You will enjoy a variety of job assignments, including:

• Scanning, copying, faxing, shredding, stapling, and unstapling
• Sorting and distributing mail
• Processing mail with a postage machine
• Operating some office technology such as an envelope-stuffing machine
• Entering customer orders into our computer system
• Proofreading
• Completing various projects within specific timelines and without significant supervision

What you’ll need to do this job:

• High school diploma
• High-level organizational skills and detail orientation
• Proficiency with MS Office products including Word and Excel
• Familiarity with common office technology such as copiers, faxes, postage meters, envelope stuffers, etc.
• Written and verbal communication skills
• True enjoyment of helping people

Hours:  Approximately 25 hours/week, Monday through Friday, mornings only. No evenings.  No weekends.

Salary:         $16/hour to start, with possibility of raises and/or bonuses, depending on individual performance and company profitability
