About the Job
Herrick Company, Inc. (HCI) is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Part-Time Office Admin/Accounting Assistant to join our team. This role will assist with a variety of administrative and accounting tasks, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and general office duties. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience in office administration or accounting, with an interest in the construction or accounting fields. As part of a dynamic team, you will also support special projects as needed.

Key Responsibilities
· Assist with Accounts Payable (AP): Process invoices, ensure proper documentation, and assist with data entry.
· General administrative tasks: Provide support with filing, data entry, scheduling, and handling routine office inquiries.
· Manage basic office supplies inventory and ordering.
· Support project-based work: Help with various ad-hoc projects as needed, including research, reporting, and documentation.
· Maintain organized records and files, both paper and digital.
Requirements
Key Requirements:
· 1-2 years of experience in office administration, accounting, or a related field.
· Basic understanding of accounting principles, especially in AP and AR processes.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.), with a focus on Excel.
· Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
· Ability to manage time effectively, multitask, and prioritize tasks.
· Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
· Interest in the construction or accounting fields is a plus.
· Prior experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, etc.) is helpful but not required.
