Part-time Nanny required for an UWS family with two children (newborn - due Nov 2024 and toddler), starting Summer/early Fall 2024. Specific duties to be negotiated with the family, but in general, working alongside Mom; you will be responsible for providing nurturing care and interacting in a fun, stimulating, and age-appropriate way with both children. To be successful in this role, you will need to be someone creative, proactive and engaged who is wanting to partner with the parents in a loving and friendly household. The ideal candidate is someone who has energy to sustain busy days (walk and/or bus for daily school pick up and afternoon activities/classes and meal prep for toddler), flexible (switching on/off with Mom between infant and toddler) and willing to communicate openly with the family. The parents value respect and kindness and are looking for a strong role model with a positive impact for their children.
Location: UWS (70s), NYC
Start date: Summer/early Fall 2024 (nanny in place to ensure ample transition for toddler before baby arrives in November)
Days/times: Monday to Friday with guaranteed 25-30 hrs depending on the candidate. Ideal start time is 11.45am (school pick up) through early evening (5/6pm). Ability to work one later day mid-week to accommodate parent's schedules/date night is desired. Some flexibility would be preferred for out of city care and possible domestic travel (family vacations in Rye, NY ~ 40 mins from the city, extended family live in Florida.)
Children: Two Children - newborn (due Nov 2024) and son (born Aug 2021)
Conditions: $27 - $32 per hour* plus unlimited monthly Metrocard, sick/personal days, public holidays and two weeks paid leave per year. Family open to providing healthcare stipend for the perfect candidate.

- Authorization to work in the US
- A minimum of 3 years experience as a nanny, 3-5 years + preferred in NYC
- Experience and confident in navigating public transport
- A well-suited demeanor for working with infants, toddlers and school age children
- Exceptional childcare references that attest to strong communication skills, reliability, punctuality, maturity and high emotional intelligence
- Education or equivalent knowledge of ages and stages of child growth and development
- Ability to commit for a minimum of 1+ year(s) for the family
- Readiness to help with light housekeeping and all tasks related to childcare (meal prep, organizing, laundry, etc.)
- Flexibility for domestic travel (with advance notice) as needed
- A professional appearance
- Comfortable with one dog in the home (no direct care required - family has a dog walker). Bernese Mountain Dog is calm, well trained and friendly.
