Part-Time Marketing Assistant

The ideal candidate for this Part-Time Marketing Assistant is someone with excellent organizational skills, a keen eye for detail and a talent for creating engaging social media content to support an organization’s marketing efforts. Reporting to the Marketing Manager, this part-time Marketing Assistant position pays $15.00/hour. In this role, the Part-Time Marketing Assistant will assist the marketing manager with various marketing needs, creating engaging content that aligns with the organization’s brand standards.
The successful candidate will help create and develop high-quality, captivating visual content through marketing materials, update the company’s website, create social media content, email marketing campaigns, and other digital marketing initiatives. To be successful in this position, you will need to be a self-starter, able to work independently, and stay organized in a fast-paced environment. This is an on-site, in-person role in the WNY area.
Responsibilities:
- Create and design marketing materials for social media, blogs, email marketing, and other business needs.
- Write blog posts, articles, and social media content that aligns with the company’s brand, voice, and messaging.
- Stay updated on the latest trends in digital marketing, social media, SEO, and analytics.
- Assist with the development and maintenance of corporate websites and various social media accounts.
- Conduct research to identify trends, industry best practices, and opportunities for improving marketing strategies and campaigns.
- Collaborate with other members of the marketing team to ensure design accuracy and consistency of the company’s brands.
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Assist in other marketing-related tasks and projects as needed.
- Self-motivated and proactive attitude toward learning and professional development.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and tasks as required.
Required Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and other design software.
- Be familiar with and utilize programs such as Canva, Mailchimp, and Microsoft Suite.
- Intermediate knowledge of how to create and execute paid ads.
- Knowledge of various social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, Google+, etc).
- Awareness of the principles of graphic design and digital marketing
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Capability to conceptualize design strategy
- Ability to take direction and feedback from the marketing team
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, Advertising, or a related field.
