The Westport office of Kaufman Dolowich, an AV-rated® firm designated one of the “Best Companies to Work For” among U.S. law firms by U.S. News & World Report, is seeking an experienced Part-time or Hourly Litigation Attorney with Labor & Employment litigation experience. The candidate would be joining a growing, dynamic firm with more than 200 attorneys nationwide.
KD’s Labor and Employment practice includes employment discrimination, workplace harassment, wage and hour defense, as well as traditional labor law matters.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Independently manage a litigation caseload by working cases from inception through resolution. Handle extensive discovery practice, court appearances and depositions. Communicate with clients and provide status reports.

Qualifications:- Employment litigation experience including discrimination, harassment, wage & hour and employment contract cases.
- Experience handling employment litigation in federal and state court in Connecticut.
- Experience developing strategy, drafting pleadings, taking/defending depositions, arguing motions and the capability of working independently.
- Experience providing advice and counsel on workplace law issues, including employee relations, mitigation of risk, ADA and other workplace accommodation, employment agreements, reductions-in-force, and employment-related policies is also beneficial.
- JD from an ABA accredited law school.
- Admitted to practice in Connecticut and New York preferred.
