Position Summary:
This full-time paraprofessional classified position will perform part-time faculty contract, compliance, and general Human Resources and customer service support. Assists the HR Consultant 2 (HRC 2) with preparation of part-time faculty payroll contracts, and related projects. Supports the NEOED LEARN - learning management platform for compliance training, working closely with the Administrative Operations Coordinator and the HR Consultant Assistants regarding employee onboarding and training. Performs front desk reception duties and provides excellent customer service for the Human Resources office. This position reports to the Payroll and Benefits Specialist, in collaboration with the Administrative Operations Coordinator.
## Essential Functions
Part-time Faculty Contracts Support
- Utilize the ctcLink (PeopleSoft) data system in the preparation of contracts for part-time faculty (compensation contracts).
- Enter data and run calculation processes for classes, stipends and special assignments.
- Review calculation results for accuracy, troubleshoot issues and follow up with the HRC2 and the Administrative Assistants for the divisions to resolve any issues.
- Ensure completion of and process all new hire paperwork by reviewing part-time faculty application materials, transcript submittals and verifying degrees through National Clearinghouse.
- Review the Part-Time Faculty Initial Salary Placement Form for each new hire for completeness and accuracy. Ensure that degree verifications are accurate and obtained. Update job records and contract data submission forms with salary information.
- Understand, interpret and reference appropriate sections of the Faculty Negotiated Agreement. Provide information and answer questions regarding faculty compensation.
- Assist the HRC2 with projects and tasks pertaining to faculty compensation such as annually updating faculty salaries, preparing annual Multi-Quarter Appointment letters, and payroll reconciliation.
- Maintain and file part-time faculty contracts and other documentation in employee personnel files.
- Respond to unemployment claims for part-time faculty
Compliance and Training Support
- Coordinate initial and mandated trainings required by the College through the NEOED Learning Management System (LMS) LEARN program. Ensure employees have access to the LEARN module including necessary logins and tools.
- Download, edit, and create classroom courses in LEARN.
- Present ongoing training to supervisors and employees on accessing and using LEARN.
- In collaboration with the Administrative Operations Coordinator and HR Staff, document and track current and new employees progress for all compliance related trainings.
- Perform credential and degree verification for newly hired employees as required by job posting and classification.
General HR Support
Provide front counter reception and customer service in regards to pay, onboarding, recruitment, and general information regarding human resource services
Be familiar with TCCs Collective Bargaining Agreements, hiring processes, onboarding and payroll processes in order to effectively communicate with employees and prospective employees.
Verify and certify I-9 forms for new employees.
Support, communicate and collaborate with HR department staff in a variety of projects and tasks as assigned. This may include assisting with data entry for new hires into PeopleSoft (ctcLink), preparing folders for newly hired employees, filing personnel paperwork, and other clerical duties.
Communicate with new student, hourly and part-time
