Part-time Delivery Driver (No CDL Required) - Mid-Ohio Food Collective

JOB SUMMARY:

Mid- Ohio Food Collective (MOFC) is looking for part-time delivery drivers to perform all food and non-food deliveries for our Kitchen team. Responsibilities include loading and unloading MOFC van for deliveries to and from pickups and delivering products to our partner agencies.

Scheduled hours for this position are 2pm - 6pm (Monday through Friday).

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provides outstanding customer service always maintains professional standards whether working directly or indirectly with customers.
• Assists in gathering and packing components for meal deliveries while following required food safety guidelines.
• Drives delivery van to pick-up and deliver products to various sites and loads and unloads deliveries to and from pickups.
• Accurately completes documents associated with each pickup and delivery including inspections and compliance of records such as, but not limited to, time and temperature records.
• Inspects, cleans, and maintains vehicle, including transporting vehicle to & from repair shop.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Certifications: High School Diploma/GED is required. Must have a valid driver's license. Willingness to be certified in Food Safety as provided by MOFC.

Experience: At least one year of delivery driving experience is preferred. Experience working with food products and refrigerated freight preferred. Kitchen experience as well as some working knowledge of warehouse machinery operations preferred.

Skills/Competencies: Must have good customer service skills and the ability to represent MOFC in a professional manner. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment. Demonstrated ability to be at work on time and consistently.

JOB CONDITIONS:

Warehouse and kitchen environments. Regular operation of a motor vehicle. Frequent exposure to various weather conditions.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Must be able to perform moderate to heavy physical labor (lift 30 lbs. frequently and 50 lbs. occasionally). Daily walking, bending, reaching, pushing and pulling (300 lbs. with use of manual pallet jack.).
