Position: Part-Time Cook

Qualifications:
- Have no prior felony convictions or suspended imposition of a sentence;
- A residence of St. Clair County, Illinois prior to completion of probationary period
- Must be 21 years of age or upward
- Possess a Food Service Sanitation Certificate.
- Be proficient at planning and preparing tasty, nutritious, economical meals for large groups.
- a United States citizen and resident of Illinois within 90 days of appointment
Closing Date: Until Filled
Salary: $15.00 per hr.
Job Classification: Part-Time Position
COOK (PART-TIME)
The Cook is appointed by the Director of Court Services and Probation with the approval of the Chief Circuit Judge and has the Assistant Superintendent as his/her immediate Supervisor. At the discretion of the Director the appointee will serve a six-month probationary period.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
The duties and responsibilities of the Cook will include, but not be limited to the following:
1. Cook and prepare necessary meals in accordance with menus and recipes.
2. Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area and kitchen equipment.
3. Maintain Food Inventory Logs.
4. Order supplies for the kitchen area.
5. Work Sunday thru Saturday, 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. or 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. and work additional hours when called upon to do so.
6. Abide by all security measures and statutory requirements.
7. Comply with all department policies and procedures.
8. Maintain Food Service Program (HACCP).
