Part Time Commercial Estimator - The Glenny Glass Co.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Part-Time Commercial Estimator to join our glass fabrication team. This role involves managing and prioritizing commercial quotes, ensuring accuracy in pricing and specifications, and collaborating with internal teams and external vendors. The ideal candidate has excellent organizational skills, is attentive to detail, and has experience in estimating or related roles within the glass or construction industry.

• Key Responsibilities:

Quote Management:

• Review and prioritize commercial quote requests received via email and fax.
• Analyze customers emails, takeoffs, and specifications to understand project needs fully.
• Estimating and Pricing:
• Prepare accurate and detailed quotes based on the information provided by customers.
• Price each glass makeup correctly, ensuring alignment with the specifications.
• Add necessary disclaimers and terms to quotes to protect both customer and company interests.
• Collaboration and Information Gathering:
• Work with our sales representatives for additional details or clarification when needed.
• Provide customers with submittal and LEED documentation as required.
• Customer Communication:
• Communicate with customers to clarify quote requirements and ensure satisfaction.
• Maintain professional and timely responses to inquiries.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in commercial estimating, preferably in the glass or construction industry.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret specifications and blueprints.
• Proficiency with estimating software or tools (training on specific systems may be provided).
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Hours:

M-F 10:30am-3:30pm but has flexibility to change during our busy season. (24 hours a week)
