- Flexible part-time schedule.
- Weekday availability, typically 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM.
- 1-4 days per month
As a Part-Time Audiologist, you will:
- Perform comprehensive hearing assessments, including pure-tone audiometry, speech audiometry, and tympanometry, tailored to the geriatric population.
- Diagnose and manage hearing disorders, including age-related hearing loss and other conditions.
- Provide hearing aid consultations, fittings, programming, and ongoing support to ensure optimal device performance.
- Educate patients and caregivers on hearing health, communication strategies, and hearing aid maintenance.
- Collaborate with care staff to ensure seamless and coordinated patient care.
- Adapt to the unique needs of elderly patients, ensuring a comfortable and safe environment.
To thrive in this role, you should have:
- A Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) degree from an accredited program.
- An active state license to practice audiology.
- Experience providing audiology care to seniors or in geriatric settings.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build trust and rapport with patients.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
- The ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with care teams.
