We are seeking a Part-Time Architectural Drafter to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for those who are currently out of work, semi-retired, or seeking additional income. Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret architectural drawings with precision
- Prepare design selections and create technical and shop drawings for our projects
- Analyze and interpret field takeoffs, measurements, and data, making necessary modifications
- Collaborate with the design team to address and solve design issues as they arise
- Maintain multiple projects, keeping track of revisions from start to finish
- Follow computer processes and procedures to ensure consistency
- Build and maintain a standard drawing library for efficient project completion
Required Qualifications:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft Office Suite, and SketchUp
- Ability to produce full construction documents
- Familiarity with standard construction methods, materials, and industry terminology
- Strong 3D spatial interpretation skills for construction situations
- Ability to work well independently and with a team, following direction and contributing creatively
- High attention to detail, dedicated, and trustworthy
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the custom residential building industry, especially $1M+ homes
- Strong knowledge of North Carolina building codes for residential construction
- Experience with shop drawings for custom millwork and furniture details
What We Offer:
- Pay: Hourly, based on experience and education (Range: ~ +/- $29--$41/hr)
- Flexible Schedule: Work 3 days a week (24 hours minimum) with flexible days
