JOB SUMMARY:  

Serves in a part-time position performing clerical duties in the Administration - Commissioners Court Department.

Responsibilities

• Ability to prioritize duties and manage multiple competing priorities in a professional manner.
• Maintains confidentiality and security of documents.
• Holds a professional front office presence by meeting and greeting visitors to the County Clerk and assisting them appropriately.
• Demonstrates exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to retain and follow detailed instructions.
• Receives and processes inquiries and requests in person, by phone, mail, courier or electronic.
• Handles inventory of office supplies.
• Works with Administrative Assistant and/or Division Supervisor to assist in the preparation of Commissioners Court Minutes.
• Reviews, prepares, scans and redacts various documents for recording and attaching to AgendaQuick.
• Processes cashier’s checks and redacts sensitive information such as bank account numbers, bond numbers, etc.
• Provides support with statistical reports and retention of documents.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED.
• 1 year of clerical experience desired.
• Strong computer, typing (40 wpm) and data entry skills desired.
• Good written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills including diplomacy and problem solving to deal effectively with the public, other employees, and elected officials.
• MS Word & Excel, Adobe software.
• Valid Texas Driver License.

SALARY: $15.00 per hour, up to 29 hours per week
