Part-Time Accounts Payable Clerk ($21-24/hr) - Parallel Employment

Parallel Employment Group is excited to announce an opportunity for a dedicated Part-Time Accounts Payable Clerk to join our client in Lancaster. Direct experience in accounts payable is required.

Flexible Schedule: Enjoy a flexible work schedule of 20 hours per week, with 4 hours daily from Monday to Friday, between 8 am and 3:30 pm.

Competitive Pay: $21-24 per hour, based on experience.

Must have 2-3 years recent experience in accounts payable entry, check runs and check deposits.

Your attention to detail and organizational skills will be crucial for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting our commitment to integrity and exceptional client service.

Key Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable invoices and ensure accuracy and completeness of all documentation.
• Match invoices with purchase orders and secure proper authorization for payment.
• Code and enter invoices into the accounting system with correct general ledger coding.
• Prepare and execute weekly check runs, guaranteeing timely and accurate invoice payments.
• Reconcile vendor statements and address any discrepancies or outstanding balances.
• Assist with month-end closing tasks, including accrual preparation and account reconciliation.
• Field vendor inquiries and promptly resolve any payment-related issues.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in accounting or a related field is preferred.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable processing.
• Familiarity with accounting software applications, such as QuickBooks or SAP.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Capability to work independently and effectively prioritize tasks.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles and experience with general ledger coding.
