Paramedic in ER - Pratt Regional Medical Center

Job Summary: Provide basic and advanced life support treatment, care, and evaluation of patients. Identify, intervene, and stabilize the ill or injured patient under the direction and in collaboration with a Physician and/or Registered Nurse. Initiate and implement interventions based on team protocols. Monitor, record, and communicate with patient about the condition and treatment, as appropriate. Provide population specific education to the patient and family about the patient’s illness and therapeutic interventions. Inspect, maintain, and care for equipment to ensure safety of the team, patients, and public.

Licensure/Certification/Registration: BLS Provider obtained with 1 month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Paramedic credentialed from the Kansas Board of Emergency Medical Services (KSBEMS) required. Advanced Life Support required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Driver’s license credentialed from Kansas Department of Motor Vehicles preferred.

Education/Experience: High school diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience. Associate’s degree/Technical degree or 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
