Job Summary and Qualifications
We are seeking an experienced Paramedic to join our ER team. The Department is fully equipped to handle urgent and critical emergencies, including multiple trauma cases; cardiac, neurological and pediatric emergencies; orthopedic injuries; obstetrical and gynecological cases; and other emergencies. You will work with a phenomenal team that cares like family for each other and our patients and their families
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Practice, develop and endorse customer service skills in relationships with internal and external customers.
Serves as the patient and family advocate with respect to the patient’s right to privacy by protecting confidential information.
Plan and implement patient care and teaching based on a total assessment and the age of the patient.
Evaluate and document patient response; monitor and recognize changes in physiological and psychosocial status; take appropriate action based on assessment of the patient.
Demonstrate knowledge of the occurrence reporting system.
What qualifications you will need:
- Graduate from an accredited Paramedic/EMT training program
- 2+ years experience required
- Currently Certified/Licensed EMT-P in the state of Florida
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
- BLS Certification (AHA Provider) required
- PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
- High School Graduate / GED
