JOB SUMMARY:
The Paralegal is responsible for providing paralegal support on legal projects, with a focus on real estate projects, including preparing, maintaining, and processing documents and records pertaining to contracts, condemnations, and other matters.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides paralegal support, assists with legal and legislative projects and various sensitive legal and Board matters for each department, including tracking incoming projects and deadlines, maintaining department contacts, and anticipating demand for legal services.
Interacts with outside counsel and lobbyists to maintain internal deadlines for projects.
Maintains accurate and confidential records and files in accordance with MNAA records management system.
Proofreads and corrects drafts for grammar, punctuation, and spelling to produce error-free work.
Assists with managing and monitoring Real Estate budgets, including outside counsel, tracking departmental needs and spending, processing invoices for payment, identifying budgetary aberrations, and projecting budgetary needs.
Serves as Administrative Assistant to Associate General Counsel to include calendar management for Real Estate matters.
Coordinates insurance review to verify that requirements of contracts, licenses, agreements, and leases are met by contractors.
Supports MNAAs commitment to its culture and values, including Respect, Integrity, Service and Excellence (RISE).
Maintains regular and on-time attendance.
Follows all safety regulations.
Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
Associates degree in a related field
Five (5) years related experience in Corporate Real Estate
Proficient use of Microsoft Office Excel
Preferred:
Paralegal certificate from ABA approved program
