Our Real Estate team is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Real Estate Paralegal to join our dynamic Salt Lake City office.
Position Summary
The Real Estate Paralegal is a highly motivated, detail-oriented individual who can assist real estate and corporate attorneys through all phases of real estate transactions; applies knowledge of legal concepts and processes; supports the management of real estate closings, document preparation and related issues/matters; summarizes and analyzes document productions; and performs research as directed.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare ancillary closing documents for real estate transactions
- Record documents with various County recorders
- Search land records with various County recorders
- Prepare Articles of Organization and Incorporation for various entities
- Prepare other corporate documents as directed
- Communicate with clients and outside parties
- Coordinate real estate closings, including loan transactions
- Manage and maintain corporate annual filings
- Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work calmly to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Proficient in State corporate document filings
- Proficient in recording documents with various County recorders
- Proficient in searching land records with various County recorders
- Familiarity with operating agreements and other ancillary documents
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Highly organized with a strong attention to detail
- Ability to take direction and work independently with little or no supervision
- Ability to keep and maintain confidential information regarding clients and firm issues
- Aptitude to learn and quickly grasp firm specific software
Qualifications
- 5+ years' working experience as a paralegal
- Experience working with real estate or corporate attorneys is strongly preferred
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
