Are you a seasoned paralegal with a knack for legal research, writing, and case management? Do you thrive in a fast-paced, challenging environment where every day brings new opportunities to showcase your skills? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Paralegal to join our growing legal team. This is a permanent position that offers the opportunity to work on complex insurance litigation cases and provide vital support to our attorneys. The successful candidate will have a strong background in legal assistance, depositions, and drafting legal documents, with trial experience being a significant plus.
Responsibilities:
As our Paralegal, you will play a crucial role in our legal operations. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Providing legal advice and assistance to our team of attorneys.
2. Handling all aspects of case management, including maintaining and organizing files, drafting legal documents, and ensuring all case materials are up-to-date.
3. Assisting with depositions, witness preparation, and trial organization.
4. Conducting thorough legal research and analysis to support case preparation.
5. Drafting, reviewing, and revising legal documents, including pleadings, discovery requests, and responses.
6. Coordinating and managing deadlines and schedules to ensure all legal processes and documents are submitted in a timely manner.
7. Supporting the team in insurance litigation and defense cases.
8. Offering litigation support, such as evidence management and trial preparation.
Qualifications:
To qualify for this challenging and rewarding role, you will need:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Paralegal, preferably in the insurance litigation field.
2. Proven experience in providing legal advice, assistance, and drafting legal documents.
3. Experience with depositions and trial preparation. Trial experience is a significant plus.
4. Strong knowledge of case management procedures and legal documentation.
5. Excellent legal research and writing skills.
6. Proficiency in using legal software for case management and research.
7. Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines concurrently.
8. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team and interact professionally with clients, witnesses, and court personnel.
9. A Paralegal certification or equivalent is required.
