Partners Personnel is currently sourcing for a Certified Paralega l with Trial Litigation for our client located in Philadelphia PA. . Our client is a well-known and respected Insurance Defense legal firm. It is a fast-paced legal environment in which the selected candidate will have a proven history of being highly detailed, organized, experienced in legal defense and works well with multiple attorneys and on a dynamic team. This role requires a thorough understanding of legal procedures, excellent research skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and keep multiple cases on track. Key Responsibilities:
Case Management
Assist attorneys in managing case files, ensuring all documents are properly filed and organized.
Maintain file opening procedures, including conflict check, fact file sheet, and redwell.
Track deadlines and ensure all case-related activities are completed in a timely manner.
E-file all pleadings, non-discovery motions, trial motions, conference memos, etc.
Document Preparation and Review
Draft, proofread, and edit legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery responses.
Assist in the preparation of summaries, memos, and other case-related documents.
Review and analyze medical records, employment records, and other relevant documents.
Prepare releases for attorney review and send approved releases to opposing counsel.
Client and Witness Interaction
Communicate with clients, witnesses, and experts to gather information and schedule meetings or depositions.
Assist attorneys in preparing clients and witnesses for depositions and trials.
Trial Preparation
Assist in the organization and preparation of trial materials, including exhibits, witness lists, and trial notebooks.
Logistics for trial, including scheduling and managing trial technology.
Administrative Support
Maintain and update case management databases and calendars.
Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling, correspondence, and filing.
Obtain invoices from providers and submit all invoices for payment upon approval from attorney.
Qualifications:
Certified as a Paralegal is required
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a legal assistant in insurance defense or related litigation.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Software appropriate to the legal field as well as administrative software such as MS Office must be shown on resume
Strong understanding of litigation procedures
Our client is known for a collaborative work environment that is active and fast-paced. This role will require occasional overtime to meet deadlines, prep for trial, and other duties related to an active case. It is on site and located in the downtown area of Philadelphia. There is easy access to public transportation and train lines. It is a professional office place and personal presentation must be in line with that standard and expectation.
