We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Permanent Paralegal to join our legal team. This position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of challenging and rewarding cases, particularly within the realm of Workers Compensation. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the legal landscape, with a focus on Workers Compensation claims and litigation. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in our legal team, working alongside experienced attorneys to provide exceptional legal services to our clients.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Paralegal, your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
1. Drafting and reviewing legal documents including pleadings, motions, affidavits, and legal correspondence.
2. Assisting with Workers Compensation claims and litigation, including conducting legal research, gathering evidence, and coordinating with clients and witnesses.
3. Conducting client interviews and maintaining direct contact with clients.
4. Keeping attorneys organized by maintaining and organizing files, scheduling appointments, and managing case deadlines.
5. Assisting attorneys in trial preparation, including preparing trial exhibits and coordinating with expert witnesses.
6. Staying abreast of current laws and regulations related to Workers Compensation, and attending relevant legal seminars or workshops.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Paralegal position will have the following qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree required; Juris Doctor degree preferred.
2. Must be a member of the CA Bar.
3. Minimum of three years of experience as a paralegal, preferably within the Workers Compensation field.
4. Proficient in legal research and writing, with a keen eye for detail.
5. Strong knowledge of Workers Compensation laws and regulations.
6. Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
7. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, attorneys, and court personnel.
8. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research platforms.
