About the Job
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the collection and organization of documents and information from various cases. This candidate should feel comfortable speaking with clients’ staff and relaying information in a concise manner and keeping all documents important to the cases they are working on organized.
Responsibilities
• Receipt, review and bate stamping of documents for production
• Assist in investigation of issues including speaking with staff at medical facilities about incidents and providing a concise description of the issues to legal counsel
• Interaction with Government officials investigating incidents at medical facilities
• Review of records and provide a concise analysis of case to legal counsel
• Basic understanding of health care legal concepts like privacy of medical records under HIPAA
• Assist in scheduling meetings
• Create and maintain case files
• Facilitate the meeting of attorney's deadlines by keeping organized schedules and providing timely reminders
• Support the Compliance, Legal functions
• Conduct legal research

• Review and draft routine legal documents
• Filing of regulatory items
• Establish, review, and maintain compliance for due diligence process.
Qualifications
• Experience as a paralegal
• Bachelor's degree
• Paralegal certificate a plus
• Experience with LexisNexis or Westlaw
• Compliance, regulatory or audit experience
• Prior working experience in healthcare a plus
