Paralegal / Legal Assistant - Ultimate Staffing Services

LEGAL ASSISTANT/PARALEGAL RESPONSIBILITIES

· Teach, train, coach, and support team members; prepare materials for court filings.

· Handle complex legal documents with expertise.

· Lead pre- and post-suit associates; manage suit filings.

· Proactively handle multiple tasks and follow through.

· Prepare and file dismissals, manage orders for change of venue, address rejected filings, and coordinate process servers.

· Ensure compliance with Judge/Court protocols.

· Determine causes of rejected judgments and balance fees.

· Oversee the court call list for special cases.

· Assist in preparing and e-filing legal documents.

· Manage document collection, review, production, and e-filing.

· Effectively liaise with court personnel and clients, provide status updates.

· Organize and maintain transactional files.

· Proficient in Client Ledger Systems (CLS) and TrueFiling/MI File.

· Act as liaison between attorneys, secretaries, and external parties.

· Draft, proofread, and edit legal documents.

LEGAL ASSISTANT/PARALEGAL REQUIREMENTS

· 7+ years as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal, ideally in a collection law firm.

· Bachelor's degree or Paralegal Certification.

· Meticulous and highly productive.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Adobe).

· Eager to learn new technology and software.

· Proficient in TrueFiling/MiFILE.

· Professional verbal and written skills.
