Paralegal and Legal Assistant at US Tech Solutions

Job Title: Paralegal and Legal Assistant

Location: Rochester, NY

Duration: 24 months contract

Job Description:

· Conducting legal research using electronic databases (Westlaw, Lexis), as well as traditional methods.

Responsibilities:

· Conduct verdict searches.

· Review discovery responses, and prepare and assemble document production, including redacting documents, as necessary.

· Draft correspondence.

· Draft and assemble briefs and motions, including tables, affidavits, exhibits, and other documents.

· Assist AAG with trial preparation including digesting deposition transcripts and organizing and uploading trial motions and exhibits.

· Maintain and develop a spreadsheet to track cases and discovery production.

· Prepare and electronically file documents to NYSCEF.

· Learn and use an intra-office electronic filing system.

· Copy and scan documents as necessary.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience:

· 1+ years’ experience in paralegal or legal support.

Skills:

· The candidate must have the ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize work, set priorities, and independently manage deadlines.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PDF creation tools, outlook, word, excel, SharePoint) is a plus.

Education:

· High School Diploma.
