Are you a seasoned paralegal with a passion for real estate law? Do you thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! We are seeking a Paralegal for our Landlord/Tenant division, specializing in real estate law, foreclosure, and litigation. This role is critical to our team and requires a candidate who is well-versed in handling legal matters related to multiple properties. You will be working closely with our legal team and property managers, utilizing Yardi, Skyline, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
Responsibilities:
As a Paralegal in our Landlord/Tenant division, your responsibilities will include:
1. Assisting attorneys with all aspects of landlord/tenant litigation, including drafting and filing legal documents.
2. Researching and analyzing legal sources such as statutes, recorded judicial decisions, legal articles, treaties, constitutions, and legal codes.
3. Managing a portfolio of multiple properties, ensuring all legal matters are handled promptly and effectively.
4. Assisting in the management of delinquencies, including drafting notices and initiating legal proceedings.
5. Coordinating with property managers and other stakeholders to gather necessary information and documentation.
6. Utilizing Yardi and Skyline software to manage property data and legal case files.
7. Preparing for court proceedings by compiling, organizing, and tracking various legal documents.
8. Assisting with foreclosure proceedings when necessary.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, you must have:
1. A Paralegal certification or equivalent legal qualification.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Paralegal, specifically in real estate law, foreclosure, and litigation.
3. Proficiency in Yardi, Skyline, and Microsoft Office Suite is ideal.
4. Experience managing legal matters for multiple properties.
5. Excellent research and report-writing skills.
6. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
7. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
8. A keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
