Paralegal - Tandym

A law firm in New Jersey is actively seeking an experienced and versatile professional to join their staff as their new Paralegal.

Responsibilities:

The Paralegal will:

• Tort claim notices
• PIP applications
• Initial opening letters
• Claim letters to defendants
• Summons disposition
• Substantive conversations with clients
• Secure medical records, reviewing, get records for priors, discuss with attorney the need to obtain records from any additional providers found in medical records
• Medicare/Medicaid claims/liens
• ERISA liens
• OPRA requests
• Work with experts, send records, ensure reports are sent on time
• Follow-up for settlement
• Bill negotiations with providers
• Independently follow-up for all assigned tasks listed above

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in plaintiff personal injury firm
• Superior written and oral communication skills
• Experience with legal documents and legal terminology
• Strong understanding of litigation management software systems
• Knowledge of online court filing systems
• Microsoft Office proficient
• Solid problem solving and time management skills
• Great interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Strong attention to detail
• Highly organized
