Overview:
The Paralegal III position provides paralegal support to all law department Counsel under general supervision. This position will perform complex paralegal work including completion of health care contracts, management of the due diligence process for healthcare transactions, and organization of the due diligence documents. This position will have direct contact with business or operations caregivers as well as outside counsel. The clients of a Paralegal III will primarily be the attorneys in the Legal Department and a limited number of business or operations caregivers.
Job Description:
- Manages upload and review of due diligence documents, prepares for closings, prepares digital closing binders, prepares responses to discovery requests, administers class action documents, performs real estate title and document review, performs UCC and Secretary of State searches and reviews, etc.
Manages, compiles, analyzes, and organizes documents for due diligence reviews and closings. - Drafts contracts
Qualifications:
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in a related field or Paralegal certification; 2 years of commensurate experience may be considered in lieu of the degree or certification in addition to the required experience.
- Certification: A recognized Paralegal certification is preferred.
- Experience: 5 years paralegal experience in a corporate law office or law firm; health law, healthcare transactions, and healthcare financing experience preferred. Candidates with less experience but superior additional qualifications may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
- Other knowledge, skills and abilities:
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Computer literacy with advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams), Adobe Acrobat DC (Pro), Westlaw, and/or Lexis.
- Superior goal accomplishment skills and project management experience.
- Excellent oral, written, presentation, and administrative skills.
- Ability to preserve confidential information.
- Strong interpersonal communication and organization skills, ability to manage conflict in a variety of situations.
- Effective leadership skills and strong customer service orientation.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups and personalities with a high degree of diplomacy, credibility, and acceptance.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and to manage multiple projects within established time frames.
- Ability to travel as required.
