Salary: $50,000 - $80,000 per year

Job Details
Position Overview:
As a Paralegal, you will collaborate closely with an attorney and legal assistant to manage litigation files. This includes discovery, pleading drafting and tracking medical records and non-parties. Your responsibilities will include direct communication with clients and attorneys, opposing counsel and paralegals as well as ensuring our clients receive exceptional care throughout the post-suit process.

Ability to operate in a paperless environment including .pdf manipulation
Required Skills:
Clear and effective communication skills

Proficiency in MS Office (word, Outlook and excel) and Adobe Acrobat Pro
Education:
Associate degree required
Legal experience preferred (minimum 2 years)
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain ongoing communication with clients
Organize and manage physical/digital client files
Review court pleadings and client medical chronologies
Organize, track and draft discovery answers/responses and mediation brochures
Coordinate requests for bills/records and review independent medical examination reports
Organize and manage non-party request for documents
Assist in trial preparation and court hearing calendaring
Work Location and Schedule:
Fort Wayne, Indiana
Full-time position: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Flexible/Modified Schedule: Opportunities for slight schedule modifications with approval
