Paralegal/ Administrative Support - Talantage, LLC

• Will have at least 3 years experience working as a paralegal in either the civilian sector or in the military sector.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Products (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, SharePoint) and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
• Have a strong understanding of law office operations. Experience with prosecution offices is preferred but not necessary.
• Must be able to summarize issues and findings in a clear and logical manner.
• Have strong analytical and problem solving skills.

• Ability to assume primary responsibility for all administrative tasks associated with core functions of the OSTC, which include: new case intake, data entry into case management system, contacts with attorneys, victims, and witnesses, receiving, processing, and evaluating investigative materials, assisting with witness and victim interviews, drafting and providing basic legal correspondence, and assisting with all stages of the trial process.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for NCIS, Sexual Assault Response, Victims’ Legal Counsel, and command personnel and other parties regarding questions about covered offense cases being processed by the respective OSTC office.
• Maintain detailed records of all case actions.
• Prepare all paperwork necessary to process covered offense cases.
• Within first month of contract term receive training (provided by the Navy) to develop an expertise using the new NCORS case tracking system.
• Establish and maintain contacts with commands in the local area and others engaged in the coordinated response to sexual assault, such as SARCs, NCIS agents, FAP, and other judge advocates.
• Maintain general office management and administration; ensure timely, accurate preparation and submission of correspondence and reports, and proper maintenance of files.
• Draft and edit written products to ensure correct assembly, format, and grammar.
• Organize and manage OSTC Teams/ Sharepoint data.
• Support attorneys and military paralegals and provide daily execution of assigned work functions.
• Provide weekly report on issues detailing projects and work provided
• Perform quarterly project/program reports, detailing progress, blockers, issues and concerns.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
