The Jay Odom Group LLC is seeking a skilled Administrative Assistant to support our Vice President/Broker in managing critical legal aspects of real estate transactions. This role involves drafting, reviewing, and organizing legal documents such as purchase agreements, leases, and development agreements, as well as conducting thorough legal research and analysis relevant to real estate development. The successful candidate will coordinate across teams and with external counsel to ensure compliance and timely execution of legal responsibilities, maintain meticulous records, and assist in preparing detailed reports and presentations for various stakeholders. Additionally, daily administrative duties will include managing schedules, coordinating meetings, and handling correspondence. This position requires excellent communication skills, a high degree of organization, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal software, ideally suited for someone with a background in paralegal studies or related fields, and experience in the real estate or development sector.

- Assist the Vice President/Broker with drafting, reviewing, and managing legal documents and contracts related to real estate transactions, including purchase agreements, leases, and development agreements.
- Conduct legal research and analysis on relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards affecting real estate development projects.
- Coordinate with internal teams, external legal counsel, and other stakeholders to ensure timely completion of legal tasks and compliance with legal requirements.
- Maintain organized filing systems for legal documents, contracts, and project-related correspondence.
- Prepare and distribute meeting agendas, minutes, and other documentation for legal and project-related meetings.
- Assist with the preparation of project proposals, presentations, and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing calendars, answering phone calls, and handling email inquiries.
- Degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or related field.
- Experience working as a paralegal or legal assistant, preferably in the real estate or development industry.
- Knowledge of legal principles and procedures related to real estate transactions and development projects.
- Proficiency in legal research methods and tools, including LexisNexis, Westlaw, or similar platforms.

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and legal software applications.
