We are seeking an enthusiastic and professional Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. This exciting opportunity offers the chance to work on a variety of personal injury cases, providing critical support to our attorneys. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in personal injury law, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for legal research. This role requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, with a focus on personal injury plaintiff work.
Responsibilities:
1. Assisting attorneys in preparing for trials and court proceedings.
2. Conducting comprehensive legal research to support case preparation and strategy development.
3. Drafting legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
4. Managing and organizing case files to ensure information is kept up-to-date and easily accessible.
5. Coordinating and managing schedules, appointments, and deadlines.
6. Gathering and arranging evidence and other legal documents for attorney review and case preparation.
7. Interviewing clients and witnesses to gather pertinent information.
8. Providing timely updates to attorneys and clients regarding case progress.
9. Collaborating with our legal team to ensure smooth case progression and successful outcomes.
Qualifications:
To be considered for the Permanent Paralegal role, you must possess the following:
1. A minimum of 2 years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in personal injury law.
2. An associate degree in paralegal studies or a related field. A bachelor’s degree or a paralegal certificate will be considered a plus.
3. Proficiency in legal research tools and databases.
4. Familiarity with drafting and reviewing legal documents.
5. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
7. Ability to manage multiple cases and tasks, prioritizing workload to meet deadlines.
8. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team and maintain a professional relationship with clients, attorneys, and court personnel.
9. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
