Hire Type: Direct Hire
Salary Range: $55k-$67k (based on experience)
Overview: The Panel Wirer will assemble and repair electrical products using a variety of tools and equipment, including hand tools, power tools, micrometers, and digital voltmeters. Responsibilities include working with voltages ranging from 480V to 5V, diagnosing and resolving electrical issues, and interpreting precision instruments as needed. Work is performed based on electrical drawings and schematics.
Essential Functions:
- Assemble and deliver quality products on time to all customers.
- Ensure compliance with and enforce shop safety practices.
- Maintain shop paperwork, including E.C.R.’s, N.C.R.’s, O.F.I.’s, I.F.S. procedures, and work instructions.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics.
- Build back panels and enclosures.
- Perform wire runs and labeling.
- Crimp wires and measure/cut cables.
- Assist in testing, FATs (Factory Acceptance Tests), and certifications.
- Participate in LEAN training and support process improvement initiatives.
- Support and participate in technical training programs.
- Maintain a clean and organized shop environment.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational schooling in electrical work preferred.
- 2+ years of electrical experience preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience with electrical diagnostic instruments and measurement tools.
- Knowledge of electrical panel and enclosure assembly.
- Proficient in reading electrical schematics.
- Familiarity with basic hand tools, fasteners, and power tools (e.g., drills, grinders, tape measures, micrometers, calipers).
- Experience operating forklifts, manlifts, and scissor lifts.
