Job Description
Our Parts Counter team members assist all customers (retail and shop) in selecting required parts in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner. Parts Counter person acts as advisors and informs customers (both internal & external) of companion part requirements, specials and ensures that the customer is exposed to the full product line.
Responsibilities
Parts Counter Person:
- Issue parts and accessories promptly to technicians from the service parts counter
- Maintain inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts
- Track all incoming and outgoing parts for the dealership
- Handle incoming phone calls efficiently
- Sell parts to meet monthly forecasts
- Control files, reference books, and other paperwork at the parts counter
- Look up and sell automotive parts to all customers: shop, over the counter, wholesale, via internet as well as the phone
- Take inventory of stock
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Parts Counter Person:
- Dealership or Aftermarket Parts Experience Preferred!
- Willing to train the right person!!
- Forklift- Hazmat Certified a plus!!
- Prompt and dependable work attendance
- Friendly and good customer service skills
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship and be a current resident
- Must pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, MVR, and drug screen
- Auto parts experience is a plus!
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
