General Summary:
Responsible for all levels of painting for primarily residential but occasional commercial structures, including but not limited to, odor seal, structural painting of assigned construction jobs as well as the interaction of customers and any other entities involved in those assigned jobs
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develops and maintains positive working relationship and goodwill with property owners, property tenants, subcontractors, vendors, in-house employees and any other involved parties.
- Performs all levels of structural painting with quality workmanship and skills including but not limited to:
- Paint bases and proper uses for all the various surfaces and elements
- Knowledge with tools and purpose to use and obtain desired results
- Proficient in application and techniques, texturing, blending, patch work, cut-ins, etc.
- Drywalling, taping and sanding
- Orders and delivers, if necessary, job materials. Returning any unused material for credit to company account.
- Adheres to the budget of each job to prevent the overspending and waste of labor and material costs
- Monitors job sites to ensure high standards of material quality and workmanship
- Monitors job sites to ensure high safety and security standards, proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), meeting internal regulations as well as OSHA regulations.
- Maintains a safe and organized work area by performing job site clean up throughout and at the end of the day.
- Assists Project Manager with obtaining and processing some required documents from the property owner and any other requiring entities and monitors the timeline of in-house workforce, subcontractors and material orders deliveries
- Directs communication from the property owners, property tenants, subcontractors, vendors, and any other involved parties to the Project Manager
- Assist restoration technicians, from time to time, on emergency jobs
- Performs related duties as assigned or as the situation dictates
Job Specifications
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Fluent knowledge of construction-specific budgets
- Fluent knowledge of federal, state and city construction codes and regulations
- Fluent knowledge of work site safety and OSHA regulations
- Knowledge of general insurance industry standards regarding insurance property claims
- Skills to read blue prints and floor plans
- Ability to provide strong customer service qualities as well as good work ethics
- Ability to communicate well with clients, in-house crews, administration and management
- Ability to physically perform the required job duties
Education and Experience:
This position requires 5-7 years experience in painting, of which must include concentration of all aspects and phases of construction, primarily residential but occasional commercial structure.
