Starting Hourly Pay Scale: $23.00-$25.00
Overall Hourly Pay Scale: $23.00-$29.25
SUMMARY:
This position is primarily responsible for cleaning, blasting, sanding, preparing parts for painting, and performing painter duties. Responsibilities include surface preparation, masking, priming, painting, and applying finishes to ensure a high-quality appearance and corrosion protection. Successful candidates will ideally have experience in aircraft painting, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and precision in all tasks. The position requires a reliable self-motivated painting technician that can read and follow directions and work individually and in a team environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Strips surfaces of aircraft and components in preparation of repainting, using chemical/mechanical means
- Prepares surfaces of aircraft, components and fabricated parts for the application of primer.
- Prepares surface of aircraft and components for finish paint.
- Mixes primers and paints.
- Maintains paint spraying equipment.
- Follow all company procedures and policies.
- Follow all safety and security policies and regulations.
- Back up department functions, cross-train in other departments and perform other duties as necessary.
- Reporting to work on a regular and consistent basis.
REQUIRED ABILITY TO:
- Be a reliable self-starter.
- Demonstrate the use of common hand tools.
- Stand and work for extended periods of time.
- Lift, move, push and pull up to fifty (50) lbs. on a consistent basis.
- Demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Build alliances, partnerships and collaborate with co-workers in a tactful, professional and respectful manner. Be a team player with strong interpersonal skills.

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- High School degree or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
- This position requires drug testing and a criminal background check in accordance with FAA regulations.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Some experience as a painting technician.
DESIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Airframe or Airframe and Powerplant license.
- 1 year + of working with composites and/or structures
- 1 year + of working in a paint shop environment (Preferred: Auto or Aircraft)
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Continuous work in manufacturing/production setting.
- Continuous walking and standing, and lifting, pushing and pulling heavy objects throughout the workday.
