Coating Inspection:
- Conduct visual inspections of aerospace components before and after thermal coating application.
- Verify coating thickness, adhesion, and overall quality using specialized tools and equipment.
- Ensure that thermal coating processes comply with industry standards, customer requirements, and regulatory specifications.
- Perform inspections at various stages of the coating process to identify and address potential issues.
- Utilize testing equipment to assess coating properties, including hardness, durability, and resistance to environmental factors.
- Analyze test results and collaborate with production teams to address any deviations from quality standards.
- Maintain detailed records of coating inspections, test results, and any corrective actions taken.
- Prepare inspection reports and documentation for customer and regulatory compliance.
- Work closely with production and engineering teams to understand coating requirements and provide input on process improvements.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues to address quality issues and implement corrective measures.
- Ensure that inspection equipment is properly calibrated and maintained.
- Identify and report any equipment malfunctions or calibration issues.
- Stay updated on industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to aerospace thermal coatings.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines in the inspection and testing processes.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification or coursework in quality assurance is a plus.
- Proven experience in aerospace thermal coating inspection.
- Familiarity with coating materials, processes, and industry specifications.
- Proficiency in using inspection tools and equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify visual and dimensional defects.
- Excellent communication skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures in aerospace manufacturing.
