About The Position
**Job Title:** Staff Registered Nurse (RN) - Inpatient **Job Specialty:** Extended Recovery **Job Duration:** 13 Weeks **Shift:** Night Shift (1900-0730) **Guaranteed Hours:** 40 Hours Per Week **Experience:** Minimum of clinical competence and experience in the care and management of target patient populations specific to the area of employment. **License:** Current Registered Nurse License in the state or a Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC). **Certifications:** American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA-approved equivalent required within 90 days of hire. **Must-Have:** - Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice typically acquired through completion of an accredited School of Nursing. - Enrollment in a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher nursing degree program required within 15 months of hire for any non-BSN nurse with less than one year of licensed experience. Completion of the degree program required within 5 years of enrollment, or 6 years if pursuing MSN, DNP, or PhD in Nursing. - Proficiency in English: Read, Write, Speak. **Job Description:** - Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for a defined group of patients in an inpatient setting. - Deliver care to a primarily adult population with competency. - Float to other units within the hospital as needed, with a mix of MSTele RN/Stepdown/PCU environments. - Operate in a unit similar to a Post Anesthesia Recovery (PAR) and Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) focusing on acute care/outpatient recovery. - Apply nursing scopes and standards of practice, aligning with the ANA Nursing guidelines. - Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care. - Demonstrate clinical competence in the care and management of patients with various needs in a hospital setting.
