Hourly Rate: $45.00 - $64.00 per hour
Job Overview:
The PACS Administrator is responsible for the support and maintenance of the Picture Archive and Communication System (PACS) across various healthcare facilities, including hospitals, imaging centers, and medical groups. This role provides critical support to Radiology, Cardiology, and Oncology departments, ensuring that the PACS systems operate smoothly, preventing any disruptions to clinical workflows due to technical issues.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support for PACS systems, including technical troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Ensure PACS systems for Radiology, Cardiology, and Oncology are functioning without interruptions.
- Maintain system security and proper configurations.
- Collaborate with medical staff to resolve technical hardware failures.
- Prepare and deliver educational presentations and training for staff using PACS systems.
- Troubleshoot issues and provide technical support to ensure minimal downtime.
- Perform regular system checks and updates to maintain system functionality and security.
- Support PACS users across multiple sites, including hospitals and medical group facilities.
Skills and Abilities:
- Proficiency in software/systems management, with excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to prepare and present educational presentations using PowerPoint and other audio/video tools.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Flexible in adapting to changing job requirements.

Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in public/business administration, management information systems, or computer science preferred. Equivalent work experience may substitute for a degree.
- Experience in Radiology Imaging Technology preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience supporting PACS systems.
License/Certification:
- No specific state licensing required for this role in Oregon.
