Location: Beaver Dam
Pay: $15.50 (Days) $17.50 (Nights)
Shifts: 6:00am - 4:00pm
8:00pm - 6:00am
Duties/Responsibilities | ||
Attendance | * | Ability to arrive on time and work your scheduled hours. |
* | Ability to work overtime when necessary. Whether it is staying late, coming in early, mandatory OT and/or PTO coverage. | |
Attitude | * | Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, co-workers and management. |
Communication | * | Ability to communicate with your partner's at shift change. |
* | Ability to follow instructions from co-workers, trainers, and/or management. | |
* | Ability to work at a team with all team members on your shift and other shifts. | |
* | Ability to assist in training and helping new team members. | |
* | Ability to communicate with the operator's, customer service rep's and management to understand what the customer wants and expects. | |
Job Knowledge | * | Learn, know and understand the types of paper for recycling. Know what can and can not be recycled. |
* | Bail and load scrap truck. | |
* | Know how to properly restack skids of paper or cartons. | |
* | Know how to properly inspect skids of paper for quality and defects. | |
* | Know how to properly package each skid, whether it be with kraft wrap, plastic wrap, shrink wrap and etc. | |
* | Know how to properly operate all banding equipment. | |
* | Operate a forklift and pallet jacks. | |
* | Cross train to back up woodshop, cartonizing, packaging, guillotine, shrink wrap, aerator and any other areas. | |
* | Ability to keep a clean, organized, and stocked work area. | |
* | Must be able to understand quality standards, methods and report as required. | |
Safety | ||
* | Ability to wear appropriate personal protection equipment, as defined by the guidelines stated in the Safety Handbook. | |
* | Ability to work in a safe manner as described in the Safety Handbook. | |
* | Ability to not engage in unsafe acts or behavior as to endanger oneself or co-worker. | |
* | Actively participate in monthly safety meetings and safety practices. | |

* | Frequently swing a sledge hammer to adjust the product. | |
* | Ability to do all the above with a maximum of 50 lbs individually. Items/jobs that weigh more will require assistance. | |
* | Ability to stand and/or walk continuously. | |
* | Further requirements could be necessary for a specific job. | |
* | All the above work is based on an 8 hour shift, but could extend up to 12 hours in a day. |
