Job Overview:It is the operator’s responsibility to ensure that the packing line and the equipments on the packing line are clean and set up properly. Also to ensure quality produced finished product is according to Production Batch Record instructions.
Responsibilities:
- Clean and/or disassemble packing line and equipments e.g. Unscrambler, desiccant inserter, tablet counter, cotton inserter, capper, induction sealer, re-torquer, labeler, outserter, shrink wrap, Cartonator after the completion of packaging process as per SOP.
- Clean manufacturing room after the completion of product run as per SOP.
- Set up packing line and equipment (primary and secondary), including startup of batch and obtaining all packaging specifications.
- Troubleshooting of the packing equipment and ensuring the equipment is running at best efficacy.
- Maintain packaging line and equipment in good working condition, inspect packaging line and equipments for wear and tear, and have any discrepancies to be evaluated and reported to Production Supervisor or Manager.
- Maintain tools and supplies in proper condition.
- Make any machine adjustments necessary during the packing run as required.
- Document all set up and cleaning in the logbook and other pertinent paperwork.
- Visually inspect the equipments as it is running to verify the equipments are running within normal and safe operation.
- To follow LOTO procedures and ensure adequate safety while working with the machine.
- Perform in-process checks during packaging process and record same in Packaging Batch Record as per instruction.
- Make sure all paperwork and documentation is done contemporaneously and accurately throughout and after.
- Perform all additional tasks relating to the operation of the packaging department as requested.
- Follow company policies, cGMP’s and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Physical Work Activities and Exposure:
- Work is regularly performed inside in a manufacturing environment.
- To use proper gowning as per the SOP.
- Exposure to dust, odor, noise, and fumes.
- The noise level is usually moderate.
- Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
- Frequent sitting, talking, or hearing.
- Use hands to finger, handle, feel, or operate objects or controls.
- Walk short distances. Clean and/or disassemble packaging equipments after the completion process.
A demonstrated ability to follow written instructions precisely and perform basic math calculations is required. Should have an understanding/knowledge of cGMP, safety criteria or the ability to learn.
Education & Experience:High School diploma required.
Prefer minimum one (1) year of work experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
