Job Summary:
This position is responsible for operating all equipment on a packaging line and instruct general laborers efficiencies in line. This position requires leadership skills with strict adherence to GMP, sanitation, safety, timekeeping and personal conduct rules.
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee and maintain operation of designated packaging line including set up, change over and take down of equipment
- Review packaging schedule to understand what is needed for set up of the line each day
- Communicate with respect to safety of production along with meeting customer specifications
- Must be able to use various types of equipment to run the line
- Operation of and certification for forklift and pallet jack operation
- Strict adherence to GMPs; Keep area clean
- Strict adherence to Safety/PPE protocols and procedures; reporting unsafe conditions to plant management
- Accurate recordkeeping and specific paperwork
- Assist in Brine and Panela form cleaning and handling
- Monitor Metal Detector checks and verifications
- Verify product specifications such as code dates, labels etc.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Food manufacturing experience preferred but not required

- Works as a team with positive attitude and behaviors
- Verbal and written communication skills; including ability to read, understand and follow written procedures (SOPs)
- Flexibility in job roles, assisting team mates along with covering breaks when needed to meet business needs
- Meet physical demands of role, Honest and high level of Integrity, high degree of personal hygiene per GMPs, dependable attendance to meet business demands
- 18+ years old
Physical Requirements:
- Moderately strenuous work involving standing, walking with frequent bending, twisting, pushing and squatting; Repetitive lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Fast-paced clean environment; frequently cool, wet, with moderate noise and working with chemicals
