Packaging Engineer - Apex Systems

Apex Systems is seeking a Packaging Engineer to join our esteemed client located in SheltonCT. We are looking to screen and submit qualified candidates for interviews to take place as early as Friday of this week, 1/10.

Job Title: Packaging Engineer

Location: Shelton, CT (4 days onsite, 1 remote)

Compensation: $32-47/hr

Duration

2 month Contract position with potential to extend beyond

Description:

Our global food services client is seeking temporary help to cover for a team member on maternity leave. This role involves working on packaging specifications with suppliers and marketing teams to facilitate the testing and approval of items before production. It is a hands-on role suited for someone who takes initiative and enjoys being proactive.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Proven track record of working with multiple stakeholders to deliver results
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good interpersonal skills
• Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language
• Ability to interface with the compaby Leadership Team
• Strong consulting skills, specifically in managing change
• Familiarity with vendor management and service level agreements

The successful candidate will have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Safety, Packaging Science, or a related field (preferred)
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in packaging and/or technical related fields
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
