Packaging Associate
We are currently seeking a candidate with the physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds for a client in Leetonia, Ohio!

Shift:
1st Shift, 6:00AM - 6:00PM
3rd Shift, 6:00PM - 6:00AM
Rotating, 6 days on, 6 days off
Pay:
$16.00 / hour
Key Responsibilities:
Repetitively lift aluminum extrusions of lengths up to forty feet / weighing up to seventy-five pounds, from metal basket carriers to packing conveyor
Gather all material needed for framing bundles (tape / stretch wrap cardboard / paper / banding)
Visually inspect metal while forming bundles looking for burrs / scratches / chips / gouges / dents / bubbles / die lines
Ensure all pieces meet / exceed customer specifications
Assemble bundles per foreman’s instructions utilizing packing materials to meet customer specifications
Assist / operate cut back saw station
Acts as saw helper at the press
Lift metal from racks / return after cutting
Record appropriate piece count / weigh count daily
Maintain a neat / orderly work area
Assists with general housekeeping of the shipping area
Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma / GED
Ability to read / interpret documents such as safety rules / operating instructions / procedure manuals
Ability to add / subtract / multiply / divide in all units of measure using whole numbers
Ability to use measuring devices such as tape measures / rulers
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situation
Required to stand / walk / reach with hands and arms / climb or balance
Required to stoop / kneel / crouch / crawl
Must frequently lift / move up to 50 pounds
