Job Summary:
Responsible for a variety of technical duties necessary to the acquisition of echocardiographic examinations and maintenance of the normal operation of the adult echocardiography laboratory.
Job Duties:
Performs and processes echocardiographic examinations of all testing modalities including two-dimensional, three dimensional, M-mode, Doppler, and special procedures and exercise techniques.
Performs emergency procedures when necessary; transports equipment and patients.
Assists with special procedures including transesophageal echocardiography, intraoperative echocardiography, pericardiocentesis, and contrast echocardiography.
Analyzes and files echocardiographic data utilizing digital computer analysis systems.
Assists in developing and maintaining internal training programs and in technical instruction of echocardiographic techniques.
Assists in approved research activities.
Performs mobile Echo service as directed.
Interprets and follow policies and guidelines to define procedures and meet goals and deadlines.
Work is typically performed in a clinical environment. Accountable for satisfying all job specific obligations and complying with all organization policies and procedures. Position Details:

Graduate of Cardiac Ultrasound Training Program- (is required)
ARDMS or RCS Certification is required
Travel to provide staffing coverage at outreach clinic sites as needed

On Call is a requirement for this position and will be discussed during interview process
Education:
Graduate from Specialty Training Program- (Required)
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years-Relevant experience* (Required)
Certification(s) and License(s):
Basic Life Support Certification - Default Issuing Body, Cardiovascular Credentialing International Certification required within 6 months of hire - Default Issuing Body, Certified Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer within 6 months of hire - American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)
