Overnight Janitorial Associate - Stanbridge University

Stanbridge University is looking for an energetic individual with exceptional communication and organizational abilities to join our Maintenance department as a Janitorial Associate. This role presents an amazing opportunity to become part of a thriving and expanding university.

Essential Functions:

• Performs general cleaning and dusting in all areas of the building.
• Maintains all tile floors using a stripping, waxing, and buffing process.
• Maintains and fills all soap dispensers and towel dispensers in rest rooms, as required.
• Removes trash from offices and classrooms throughout the buildings on a routine basis.
• Cleans all bathrooms, as required.
• Cleans student lounges daily.
• Vacuums, dusts, and keeps a neat appearance in all office areas and classrooms throughout campus

Qualifications:

• 8:30 PM to 5:00 AM weekend availability desired
• Sunday-Thursday
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be able to meet physical requirements: standing, twisting, walking, grasping, pushing, pulling, and ability to carry and/or lift up to 50 lbs.
• Minimum of one year of janitorial work experience.
• Valid state driver's license.
• $18-$20/hr. (Salary is dependent upon education and experience.)

Work Environment:

• Standard office/classroom/lab or clinical setting.
• Typically, duties are performed in an office/classroom/Lab/clinical setting environment while sitting at a desk or computer workstation.
• Work environment may include skills lab or bedside environments as required by program.
• An incumbent is subject to contact with others, frequent interruptions, noise from talking or office equipment and demanding timelines.

Physical Demands:

• The incumbent regularly sits for extended periods.
• Physical ability to perform the duties as assigned to the program or department.
• Proficient in operating electronic keyboards and other office machines.
• Effective verbal communication skills in answering telephones and providing information with clarity and distinctness.
• Ability to read fine print and operate computers with precision.
• Ability to understand voices over the telephone and in person.
• Able to lift, carry, and/or move objects weighing between 10-25 pounds as needed.
