Role Overview
The Sales Representative will drive business growth by identifying new opportunities, managing client relationships, and achieving sales targets. The role requires expertise in environmental services and proven sales experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate new business through networking, cold calling, and other sales techniques.
- Conduct regular in-person sales calls with existing and prospective clients.
- Respond promptly to client inquiries via phone, email, or in person.
- Collaborate with estimators, project managers, and senior management.
- Maintain sales activities in a CRM system and prepare regular reports.
- Attend industry events and present proposals to potential clients.
- Stay informed on industry trends, EPA, and DOT regulations.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree required.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years in environmental services sales; prior experience in waste/environmental services is preferred.
- Skills:
- Knowledge of EPA/DOT regulations and environmental services (industrial services, site remediation).
- Strong sales, negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools.
- Organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Other: Valid driver’s license and ability to travel 90% locally.
Work Environment
- Office and computer-based tasks with periodic physical activity (lifting up to 15 lbs).
- Regular visits to outdoor worksites in varying weather conditions.
