Summary
The role is designed to strengthen the position of the company in both sales volume and margin, as well as ensure that customers who call in are provided knowledgeable support for our product lines. This position contributes to the technical expertise of our team. Customers of this group include the Outside Sales team as well as Resellers and End Users. The Outside Sales Representative will have expertise in specific product lines and assist in vendor relationship management and recommended inventory levels of those lines. As ‘customers' require expert level support for products of specific product lines, they will be referred to the proper representative. Furrow Pump Outside Reps will support the flow of technical data, customer history, CRM, quotes and other general support. This role will also help to ensure smooth order-information transfer between all sales functions, customers, and the order entry desk.
Responsibilities
- Provide product line expertise to the FP team and customers.
- Provide Data Sheets and other marketing information as necessary to outside sales folks and/or customers as requested.
- Coordinate with vendors as required to confirm configuration, availability.
- Provide properly consolidated order info to order entry.
- Update CRM with all pertinent sales activities.
- Assist with inventory management and vendor relations for product lines in which they serve as expert.
- Serve the intention of customer's satisfaction, retention, and delight.
Experience
- A demonstrated 5+ years of successful Sales and/or Sales support role.
- Technical aptitude required to allow understanding of water treatment processes and how equipment works into those processes.
- Major water treatment component category expertise required, with 2+ years direct experience in sales and support of those components.
- Ability to manage several projects simultaneously while accurately moving each one to completion.
- Ability to manage and process deals among multiple personality types to provide a positive outcome to each situation.
- CRM systems experience.
- Application experience in the Boiler Cooling chemical equipment market a plus.
Education
- Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Administration, or a technical degree preferred.
