Outside Sales Representative - Sloan Security Group

Job Summary:
As an Outside Sales Representative, you will play a critical role in driving revenue growth by developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients within your regional area and across various vertical markets, including data centers, government, sports, utilities, and private sectors. You will be responsible for identifying opportunities, presenting tailored solutions, and closing deals that align with Sloan Security Group’s mission and goals. You will be assigned a regional area for which you will be responsible for driving growth.
Areas of Focus
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Client Acquisition & Relationship Management:
- Identify and target potential clients within assigned territories or vertical markets.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships through regular communication and site visits.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for client inquiries, ensuring a positive customer experience.
- Sales Strategy & Execution:
- Develop and execute a territory sales plan to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
- Present Sloan Security Group’s products and services in a compelling manner, addressing client needs and concerns.
- Prepare and deliver detailed proposals, presentations, and sales contracts.
- Assist with estimating small projects and providing support for other estimates as needed.
- Market Intelligence & Reporting:
- Conduct market research to identify trends, competition, and new business opportunities.
- Provide regular sales reports and updates to the leadership team.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including Business Development, Design, Sevice and Estimating, to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Networking & Outreach:
- Represent Sloan Security Group at industry events, trade shows, and conferences.
- Leverage existing networks and establish new connections to grow the company’s presence in targeted markets.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in outside sales, preferably within the security, construction, or related industries.
- Strong knowledge of access control systems, barrier installation, and/or gate maintenance services is a plus.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly.
- Results-oriented mindset with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Ability to travel within assigned territories as required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
Travel:
Significant travel for tradeshow purposes and site/customer visits.

- Able to use a computer and a phone
- Able to use office equipment (fax, copy machine, scanner)
- Must be able to move quickly from one room to another
- Must be able to lift 75 pounds.
- Must be flexible in job duties and tasks.
