Position Overview
The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for generating new business, developing client relationships, and meeting sales targets within a designated territory. This role requires a proactive and dynamic approach to identify and pursue new sales opportunities, address customer needs, and ensure customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, has excellent communication skills, and enjoys building relationships with clients to drive company growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Prospect and Acquire New Clients: Identify and reach out to potential customers through networking, cold calling, and market research.
- Customer Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients by understanding their needs and providing solutions that add value to their business.
- Meet Sales Goals: Achieve or exceed monthly and quarterly sales quotas through effective territory management and proactive sales techniques.
- Product Presentation: Deliver engaging and informative product presentations to clients to demonstrate the value of company offerings.
- Market Analysis: Keep informed of industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to better position products and address client needs.
- Sales Reporting and Forecasting: Track and report sales activity, progress, and forecasts using CRM software, maintaining accurate records of client interactions.
- Coordinate with Internal Teams: Collaborate with marketing, customer service, and other teams to align sales strategies and ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Post-Sales Support: Provide follow-up support to clients to ensure product satisfaction and identify additional sales opportunities.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field (preferred but not required).
- Proven experience in outside sales, field sales, or similar role.
- Strong sales and negotiation skills with a demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for building customer relationships.
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (as travel is often required within the territory)
Physical Requirements:
Ability to travel within the assigned territory frequently.
Ability to stand and present for extended periods.
Compensation and Benefits
Pay Range: $100,000-$150,000 (includes commission)
